Two women compete to be first to climb 14 highest peaks in the world

South Korea’s Oh Eun-sun and Spain’s Edurne Pasaban are both in the hunt to be the first woman to climb all 14 mountains taller than 8000 meters (26,250ft).

The 44-year old Oh is currently leading the battle as she is on her last climb up Annapurna, one of the most dangerous peaks in the Himalayas.

Pasaban, 36, has just finished climbing Annapurna,  however, if she wants to attain the title, she must hurry down, cross over into Tibet and climb Shisha Pagma next month.

How sick is this? Not only are these woman competing for the title of ‘first woman ever to ____’, they are competing against one another and they can DIE while doing this.
