Microsoft unveils the Kin One and Kin Two

with 2 comments

Microsoft has unveiled two new phones called the Kin One and Kin Two. Formally know as ‘Pink’, the Kins phones are the result of Microsoft’s purchase of Danger, the company that runs the service used on T-Mobile Sidekick phones.

The Kin phones are rooted in Windows 7, however they are only referred to as windows phones as the user experience is closer to that of the Zune OS. The major feature of the Kin phones is that much of the data accessed by the phone will be kept in the ‘cloud’, which is a direct result of the intellectual property acquired from Danger.

Check out the link for more info on the Kin.

Microsoft Pivot, a new way to search the web

with one comment

Pivot is a new project by those guys at Microsoft that’s going to change the way we look at the web. Rather than googling everything and seeing everything as individual pages, Pivot enables us to finally browse the internet as a web of data.

Still in its early stages, its available for download for free. Sorry guys, only compatible with Vista and Windows 7 users. Yeah, sucks, but I might install Boot Camp just for this. But it’s nice to see that Microsoft isn’t resting on its laurels and its trying to be innovative.
